Bora Bora

Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean known for being exotic, romantic and peaceful. It is one of those islands that many refer to as Paradise on Earth. This is an island where many couples choose to go for their honeymoons because of its above noted qualities. Over the last couple of years several resorts have been built on motu (which are small islands) surrounding the lagoon. Ever since Hotel Bora Bora was built 30 years ago the over-water bungalows became a standard feature of most Bora Bora resorts. The quality of those bungalows ranges from comparably cheap, basic accommodations to very luxurious and expensive places to stay, although this doesn’t change the fact that your are surely going to enjoy your stay. As far as languages go, you don’t need to worry since most of the people there know how to speak English although French and Tahitian are their main languages. There is no public transport on the island, but rental cars and bicycles are the recommended methods of transport. The popular activities in and around the lagoon of Bora Bora are snorkeling and scuba diving. Whether you are planning a romantic trip, a retirement vacation, or simply a fun trip with your friends, you will definitely come home with a smile.
