There are so many type of hotels to choose from it can often be confusing, but once you know what’s out there, making the right decision will be easy!

In the past, there was always a choice between staying in a nice hotel versus having money to spend while you’re on holiday. These days however, you can stay in some of the world’s best hotels and it won’t cost you a huge amount. How is it possible? Well the secret is more obvious than you may think- book online to find some incredible hotel deals.

Luxury hotels are at the pinnacle of holiday accommodation, and some are absolutely stunning. You’re generally looking at star ratings of 5 and up in the luxury category. From the stunning interior decor in rooms to beautiful cuisine in top quality restaurants, staying in a luxury hotel is an experience you’ll never forget.

Mid range hotels are the most popular by far as you get a good experience but don’t have to pay a lot for it. Generally 3 and 4 stars, this type of hotel can be found anywhere in the world, from cities to country locations. With a range of features including fitness centres, swimming pools, restaurants and spas, they are ideal for weekend getaways, especially in places like Paris or London where you can shop all day and then relax in style at night.

Cheap hotels range from 1 to 3 stars and are excellent for people on a budget. If you’re more interested in spending money in the shops, restaurants or anything else and less worried about what the accommodation looks like, they are ideal. For people on gap years, travellers or simply people who want to stay somewhere for less than £10, you can’t go wrong. It’s a case of what you see is what you get, and while you shouldn’t expect luxury, you’ll find most places are quite amenable.

Clearly there’s a huge range of hotels available and choosing the right one can make a holiday into an unforgettable experience. Booking online can save you a huge amount of money. Take a look and live in luxury!

Visiting Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National park is the only natural game reserve which is actually located within a city. The location is fantastic because it means that you can stay in the city and then easily get to the park for day trips.

You have all the amenities of the city near by which could be a big plus for some people who like luxury. It does not match the big game parks such as Serengeto or Mara in its size but it can be a great way to see what it is like, without fully committing to a big journey and a long stay there.

The terrain is rough and natural and so you will be taken around in a jeep, van or truck which has four wheel drive although you can use a saloon should you wish to but it could be quite a tricky drive. If you do want to drive yourself around then there are car hire companies who will rent out vans that are more suitable for the trip. Despite its close proximity to a city, it does have a lot to offer. There are a selection of different environments such as a river and forest nearby, open grass plains and various other types of vegetation.

Nairobi National Park

There are also some man-made dams in the park which encourage certain birds and other animals. There is an impressive array of animals including black rhino, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, lion, elands, hyena and leopard and many types of birds. There are also other things to discover such as the Nairobi walking safari, hippo pools and orphanage. With it being such as easy place to reach and  having the rare black rhino then there are many reasons why this is a great place to visit. It is worth timing your visit right though because it is wet between April and October and very warm between July and October.

The Boutique Hotel is Back - New Reasons To Get Excited

Can we be honest for a second? The debate about hotel accommodations around the world that we’re seeing is really amusing. You might assume that it really doesn’t matter where you stay when you decide to go off on holiday. We respectfully disagree. In fact, we think that accommodations really do matter. This is to the point where we think it would be much better for you to really think about getting a great hotel than a not so great hotel.

And yet, this lets us bring up a favorite subject of ours: the boutique hotel. Instead of sitting around thinking that you just aren’t going to be able to have any fun, you can check out a boutique hotel. We think that people are going to get even more excited about boutique hotels when they really see their true value.

In short, a boutique hotel is designed to be smaller and more likely to offer you a custom experience. Gone are the days where travelers were willing to put up with anything and everything. The reality here is that you have to think about what’s really going to make your life easier. You don’t want to just drift off thinking that you are going to have a lot of struggle. The boutique experience is all about making your life easier.

Boutique Hotel

You get to have a room that doesn’t jut look like all of the other rooms. You might have some nonstandard amenities thrown in as well. Every boutique hotel is different, and that’s honestly what makes them special. You aren’t just going to get the same old experience. This can transform the way you see your travel destination, even if you’ve been to the same place over and over again for many years.

A unique range of people turn to boutique hotels, which gives you a chance to socialize. Most of these little hotels have a gathering area where guests can mingle for this reason. It never hurts to make new friends, you know!

Even though some boutique hotels are expensive, others offer a budget option that would definitely leave you more money for shopping. Some boutiques even offer gourmet food to sample, giving you a taste of the world without really having to go too far to enjoy it.

Now is the perfect time to look at a boutique hotel for your next trip. You just don’t know how much comfort and luxury you can enjoy on your own budget until you get things moving. Good luck!

Blending In To Your Host City’s Scene

Have you ever been on vacation and seen someone that you automatically identify as a tourist? Don’t worry — we all know that person of the top of our heads. We can tell that they’re on holiday, and we can tell that they really don’t blend in whatsoever. So what you have to do is make sure that you’re thinking about the type of clothes seen in your host country. You don’t want to go with something too traditional — it looks like you’re mocking them. However, you do want to make sure that you’re abiding by a few things ahead of time:

See if you can get on a real travel board filled with people that have been to the destination that you want to go to. Ask them what they wore. If it doesn’t sound too flashy, you might have an idea. On the other hand, if they seem clueless you might want to skip over that. If you can talk to someone that actually lives and works in the city of your choice, it’s a good idea to ask them as well.

blending as tourist

Even if you can’t get anyone to help you out, you need to use some common sense. Make sure that you aren’t just rushing into a bad situation because you think that you’re going to have the time of your life. Make sure that you aren’t just going to “wing it”. Use a little common sense to realize that you want to make sure that you aren’t too flashy. A simple pair of shorts and a top is a great idea in Caribbean countries. This is also the case in many areas of South America. If you’re going to go a very religious place like Bali, you will want to make sure that you buy something that you can use to cover up in order to show respect.

It’s incredibly important to make sure that you aren’t standing out. You want to still make sure that you’re not going to make yourself stand out and make it much more likely that you’re going to become a target for crime. While this isn’t always likely to happen, the reality is that you still need to keep your wits about you. It’s really the smartest thing that you can honestly do for yourself.

Travel is a fun hobby for many people and we want you to have a good and safe time while you’re out there. You just need to make sure that you’re taking every step you can to really get things done. Why not start today, while you’re really thinking about it? Good luck!

Ålesund, Norway

Ålesund is the largest city in Møre og Romsdal, Western Norway. Ålesund is built on a row of islands extending towards the Atlantic. The compact old city centre is thus surrounded by water and Ålesund is a major fisheries harbor.

Much of the joy of seeing Ålesund is to be found in just strolling past the many art nouveau shops and other buildings. However, the most notable attractions are The Aalesunds Museum, The Atlantic Sea-Park and The Art Nouveau Center. Walk up the stairs to Fjellstua from the city park for a breathtaking view of local fjords and mountains. This can really not be underlined enough. Even if you are not up to climbing all 400 or so stairs, even half way up the view is stunning. Alternatively, you can get a taxi to drive you up there for the view from the top. This is a must-see. At the top of the mountain there are walkways that allow you to walk around in natural surroundings while enjoying the view of the islands and mountains around you. There is also a restaurant at Fjellstua serving basic dishes.

The Atlantic Sea Park at Tueneset is the biggest salt water aquarium in Northern Europe and is built into its stunning environment in the Tueneset conservation area. It offers a range of activities, including  diving. After visiting, you can enjoy Tueneset itself which is a nice green area with walkways and a fascinating seemingly endless view of the Atlantic ocean. Have a nice trip.
