“Million star hotel” is slang for being homeless, for not having a roof over one’s head. Also the name of the new Jeffrey Dean Foster solo CD.

Back in the summer Jeffrey Dean and The Birds of Prey joined Billy Joe Shaver and Polecat Creek for the Crisis Control Concert for Hope show at the Stevens Center in Winston-Salem. Well the Concert for Hope live cd is now available at www.crisiscontrol.org and locally at Border’s. For all you internationalists it can be mail ordered from Miles of Music and CD Baby.

Sales from the “Music From the Concert for Hope” CD featuring Billy Joe Shaver, Jeffrey Dean Foster and Polecat Creek will benefit Crisis Control Ministry. Media Production Associates of Winston-Salem donated their services to record the memorable night of music in July at the historic Stevens Center. The result is a digitally mixed, high-quality compilation of four songs from each artist. Only 1,000 copies of this collectible have been produced, so this will truly be a limited time offer.

Million Star Hotel continues to get the kind word from the critics. Harp magazine just ran this review in the current edition. “The Summer of the Son of Sam” from Million Star Hotel will be included on the fall sampler cd from the magazine Pop Culture Press.
